Doubt in python in hackster.io projects code

While analyzing the code in hackster.io projects i found a words like fsym,BTC,tsyms ,params.please tell me what are they and what is the use of them.

@Nikhil in bitcoin currencies are shown as symbols. Here ‘sym’ is short form for symbol. Probably fsym and tsym are variable names cause BTC is bitcoin’s short form and USD is for dollar.

@Nikhil fsym refers to from symbol and tsym is to symbol.
It’s just an abbreviation for “from symbol” and “to symbol”

Hi @Nikhil,

If you refer the cryptocompare documentation https://min-api.cryptocompare.com/documentation ,fsym is used for cryptocurrency symbol and tsyms is used for Comma separated cryptocurrency symbols list to convert into.

For example : If you want the rate of Ethereum in in INR then do the below request.

https://min-api.cryptocompare.com/data/price?fsym=ETH&tsyms=INR

Output :

{"INR":19661.96}
