Here , bolt device offers communication over UART: Universal Asynchronous Receiver And Transmitter.
Both,I2C and UART are Communication protocols.
The only difference is I2C is synchronous and UART is Asynchronous!!
They have some other differences you can check . Then i2c based sensors can’t be directly integrated to bolt so we need another mircro controller for that right.
