is there any problem connecting the bolt device to the power supply for a long time. As it is getting heated up a bit. Will it ruin the circuitry?
A little bit heating may not be an issue thought it should not have happened.
Please share the specifications of your power supply. Also keep it on a hard and flat surface. Keeping it on soft surface like Bed may cause it to heat up.

I have connected the module to my laptop. It is slightly overheating.
A slight overheating may not be issue. Do not cover your device inside any non-insulator material.
after how long the iot device should be switched off any such specifications??how long on a stretch will it work??is it harmful to keep it on for long idle??
