Not able to open SSH conenction in Vagrant

As per the reply by Mr. Rahul on this pos- Help in getting IP address to use Putty , I set up vagrant. It was working properly and I used Linux in it. That day I then closed it. Now I was trying to open it again but I wasn’t able to . When i did - vagrant up command in the cmd of the ubuntu folder, this was the output:

https://i.stack.imgur.com/8A0M4.png

I then tried vagrant ssh directly and then this was the output:
C:\Users\Djind\Documents\Vagrant\ubuntu>vagrant ssh
ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection aborted

Please help.

Hi @jindaldhruva,

Please do,

vagrant reload

and check if you are able to ssh inside the vagrant.

Do let me know in case you need further assistance.

Same issue sir. When I do vagrant reload, this is the output:

Please help.

Hi @jindaldhruva,

Try the answerers from here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/22575261/vagrant-stuck-connection-timeout-retrying

Do let me know in case you need any other information.

I see that this answer is upvoted the most. I did what was told in this answer.
The answer:

But then the result was still the same. I got the retrying… error again.

Hi @jindaldhruva,

Try the below commands -

vagrant destroy
vagrant up

and check if it working. Otherwise delete the Vagrant box and reinstall it and check if it is working.

Do let me know you need further assistance.

This would destroy the vagrant box. This means all my code inside it is gone. Is there any way I can recover it?

Hi Jindal,

If you have synched your folder between windows and Ubuntu then yes you can recover your code.

Below is the vagrant configuration that I am using.

# -*- mode: ruby -*-
# vi: set ft=ruby :

# All Vagrant configuration is done below. The "2" in Vagrant.configure
# configures the configuration version (we support older styles for
# backwards compatibility). Please don't change it unless you know what
# you're doing.
Vagrant.configure("2") do |config|
  # The most common configuration options are documented and commented below.
  # For a complete reference, please see the online documentation at
  # https://docs.vagrantup.com.

  # Every Vagrant development environment requires a box. You can search for
  # boxes at https://vagrantcloud.com/search.
  config.vm.box = "ubuntu/xenial64"

  # Disable automatic box update checking. If you disable this, then
  # boxes will only be checked for updates when the user runs
  # `vagrant box outdated`. This is not recommended.
  # config.vm.box_check_update = false

  # Create a forwarded port mapping which allows access to a specific port
  # within the machine from a port on the host machine. In the example below,
  # accessing "localhost:8080" will access port 80 on the guest machine.
  # NOTE: This will enable public access to the opened port
  config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 5000, host: 5000

  # Create a forwarded port mapping which allows access to a specific port
  # within the machine from a port on the host machine and only allow access
  # via 127.0.0.1 to disable public access
  # config.vm.network "forwarded_port", guest: 80, host: 8080, host_ip: "127.0.0.1"

  # Create a private network, which allows host-only access to the machine
  # using a specific IP.
  config.vm.network "private_network", ip: "11.11.11.11"

  # Create a public network, which generally matched to bridged network.
  # Bridged networks make the machine appear as another physical device on
  # your network.
  # config.vm.network "public_network"

  # Share an additional folder to the guest VM. The first argument is
  # the path on the host to the actual folder. The second argument is
  # the path on the guest to mount the folder. And the optional third
  # argument is a set of non-required options.
  config.vm.synced_folder "/Users/rahulkumarsingh/vagrant-xenial", "/home/ubuntu"

  # Provider-specific configuration so you can fine-tune various
  # backing providers for Vagrant. These expose provider-specific options.
  # Example for VirtualBox:
  #
  config.vm.provider "virtualbox" do |vb|
    # Display the VirtualBox GUI when booting the machine
    vb.gui = false

    # Customize the amount of memory on the VM:
    vb.memory = "2048"
  end
  #
  # View the documentation for the provider you are using for more
  # information on available options.

  # Enable provisioning with a shell script. Additional provisioners such as
  # Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, and Docker are also available. Please see the
  # documentation for more information about their specific syntax and use.
  # config.vm.provision "shell", inline: <<-SHELL
  # apt-get update
  # apt-get install -y apache2
  # SHELL
end

You can synch the folder between folders by changing this line.

config.vm.synced_folder "/Users/rahulkumarsingh/vagrant-xenial", "/home/ubuntu"

Do let me know in case you need further assistance.

This is what it says for my vagrant file:

config.vm.synced_folder “…/data”, “/vagrant_data”

So I changed and made it this:

config.vm.synced_folder “C:\Users\Djind\Documents\Vagrant\ubuntu”"…/data", “/vagrant_data”

But I did it right now. So i am, not able to get the code which I had previously written on it. Can you assist me with it please.
If you need, this is what my vagrantfile looks like:
