i am not able to install the putty software on my windows pc.after i enter the ip address and username i am unable to enter the password what do i do ?

once open your digitalocean account and then give your ip address,some times PuTTy will go into “inactive”,so that if we open our digital ocean account once the problem will be dismissed.
after you installed the putty software in your pc,then you will give your username:root then your password(password is not visible in ubuntu/putty)which is already sent to your mail in it,then you’re asked to give new password,and confirm password as well ,then after you don’t need to give your long password every time you login.
