Are communication protocols applicable to only electronic devices?
I am asking whether communication protocols are applicable for electronic devices or are communication protocols applicable for both electronic and non-electronic devices.
What exactly do you refer to when you mean non-electronic devices?
The communication protocols mentioned are definitely for electronic devices only. They are a set of rules with instructions that need to be followed in order to set up a communication between 2 devices. And by electronic here it is mentioned for digital signals.
Analog signals have different communication protocols like AM, FM (radio signals).
