Question about the Lecture on Prediction

In the lecture on “What is Prediction?”, A table is shown with columns Day, No. of sweets sold and Extra sweets sold compared to the previous day.

My Question is, on Day 5, shouldn’t the number of sweets sold be 36? The table shows 35 instead. If it is indeed 35, then can someone please help explain how it came to be?

@muralikrishna.k.n yes the fifth point should have a value of 36 and because of that there are small mistakes in the further calculations. But that example was only for understanding purpose so that one can grasp the idea of Polynomial Regression

So that small error is of no harm to anyone. You can assume it in such a way that on fifth day 6 more sweets were sold which makes the total to 35
