a relay to have the connection between the bolt and the bulb
Note: Be super careful when you work with AC current. Direct contact with AC current could kill you.
From the image, I see that you have got the Bulb. That’s a great start. Now you need the following ingridients:
- Bolt IoT unit
- Relay (http://www.amazon.in/5V-one-Channel-Relay-Module/dp/B00Z05SO7Q?tag=googinhydr18418-21&tag=googinkenshoo-21&ascsubtag=b6a4cb48-61a5-449f-a06c-080628f14b05)
- Power Soket
For the coding check out the tutorial on Bolt IoT workshop Module 3 : Interfacing AC Devices.
Here is a video to get started: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1h9MqG1faDFTUFVOVAwSHhubG8/view
Note: Be super careful when you work with AC current. Direct contact with AC current could kill you. Make sure your wire connections are properly done and you are working under an expert supervision
How do we write this code in GPIO control command for Bulb On/off for voice controlled controlled Google Assistant by using IFTTT for this model…if the pin is set at 4
Ex:- for normal bolt led on/off with IFTTT is
https://cloud.boltiot.com/remote/API Key/digitalWrite?pin=0&state=HIGH&deviceName=BOLTID for switching on the led…
If I replace pin value with 4 do the command runs for this above bulb project or do any add any other command
Suppose ex:- for switching on bulb with Google Assistant
My command would be
It’s this correct GPIO command for light on/off a bulb using a relay…with Google Assistant
Does it work for me…I didn’t try with this code because of AC current warning…if the command is correct then I shall give a try, since I had completed and tested Led On/off with Google Assistant via IFTTT and I wish to extend to a Bulb…
Bolt Cloud API command will always be the same. It does not matter either you controlling any led or bulb. You have to just change the pin number in the API request according to your connections.
Check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDnTYlOkhWY
In the video, Bolt Cloud Panel is shown for controlling the light, but you can use Bolt Cloud API as well.
Do let me know in case you need any other information.
