Instead of just pressing on the link provided in the documentation, just type the same link in the browser .Sometimes when you press the link directly from the documentation, it also includes the boltiot path which might be the reason for this type of error . Hope it will solve your problem.
VMware is a pretty common software and you will find the link to download it easily by typing “vmware download” in any search engine. I would have provided you with a link myself but you did not mention what operating system you are using in the post.
instead of directly opening the link try to google “vmware download” and go to the official website www.vmware.com and then to the products for free products or copy this link “https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/downloads/details?downloadGroup=PLAYER-1610&productId=1039&rPId=55792” and proceed to download.
